During my experience as a IT help desk technician i didn't have many problems due to IT problems at all. I only had three problems.

The first problem was a person couldn't log into the college WiFi.

How did i deal with this problem: I ask this person to try and log in again into the college WiFi on the log in page and then said that it wouldn't still work but that's because he didn't press done on the page once you typed in you log in. I then record this as a ticket in my tutor to say I got a problem from someone and manage to solve the problem.

The second problem was one of the teachers couldn't get her laptop screen to turn on.

How I dealt with this problem: I told her to give me the laptop then i started to trouble shoot the problems with it. First of all I turned it on i could hear it boot up but still no nothing on the screen. In the end I came to the conclusion that the laptop connect between the mother board and screen was some how damaged. And told her she should go to a repair store for them to look at it.

The Third problem was guy's laptop wouldn't connect to the WiFi at all.

How i dealt with this problem: I told him to give me the laptop so I could trouble shoot and give him a idea what the problem might be so he can sort out himself. First i reset the wireless connector on the laptop and it still wouldn't connect. Second of all I tried to restore his laptop to when it remembers being healthy. But for odd reason it wouldn't do it. I only came to the conclusion that he has some sort of virus on it or there's something wrong with the OP (operating system) on it. I told him that he should wipe his laptop clean and start fresh and make a back up of things he wishes to keep on a memory stick and run an anti virus on the memory stick just make sure non of his files got infected.
